VorCalc (2001)
* About
“VOR” was a board game where you have to combine a force of soldiers. Each soldier costs a different amount of points, depending on his abilities and equipment. Using a simple evolutionary algorithm the optimal “counter force” is calculated by simulating hundreds of games with different combinations against a static enemy force.
The program isn’t very beautiful and it is probably useless if you don’t know the game, but it deserves an honorary mentioning because this was the first of many “calculation programs”.
