Webpages (since 1998)
I think I had my first webpage in 1997 at a local provider, in 1998 I registered “clawsoftware.de”. Those were the early days with HTML only, mysql and php weren’t widely known. I can only remember that I crammed the page up with lots of animated gif files
I also joined the “Internet AG”, a group of students at school who developed the homepage for the school. It even later won a prize (best homepage of bavaria) and I was the one presenting it in front of the large crowd
My second page was at Puretec (now 1und1). I wanted to present myself and my (then) current project “WARS!”. I gathered some people I knew from internet chats and put up screenshots and downloads…
You can browse through an old version from 1999 here and one from 2003 here ![]()

I very much liked the page, it was small and nice
I also put up some early versions of “Evolution Forge” there, but when it was done (i.e. version 1.62+) I wanted to move on to a better page. I tried out some php webpage, it looked nice but I wasn’t very satisfied with it. So I moved on…
My third page was a rather large project. I used phpbb with the “minerva” modification. After the begin of the second Iraq war I began taking interest in politics, so I logged on the internet and took my time to read and hear all sides. The result was the page ‘alciada.net’ where I created a file base in an organized fashion (had to reprogram some parts of phpbb) and a way to easily post news on the main page to save time. I maintained the site from early 2005 to late 2007, but then had to concentrate my time on finishing university.

Web design caught me yet again a year later so I put up this page (clawsoftware.com) and my personal blog over at http://clemens.lode.de. The latter is a blog, i.e. I write how I like :p This is sometimes quite a refreshing activity because you don’t have to carefully plan what and how you write. I also used a standard installation of wordpress (with only minor modifications and design changes) to save time.

What will the future bring? For a future project a web release of evolution forge would be interesting, but I don’t know yet… we’ll see
